Hello everyone!

Another quarter almost down which means another General Members Meeting!

This meeting will cover:

• New Policies we have been hard at work on
• Follow ups on policy proposed at the Q1 GMM
• Open nomination/election for 2 trustee positions (read your emails for more info)
• Additional news for members
• An open forum for any of your questions you may have

Please make sure to read both of the emails you've been sent so you can have all the information you need for either running for a position or otherwise voting responsibly.

As stated in our Local’s constitution, membership meetings will be held quarterly. This gives you an opportunity to bring your issues to your union representatives, the dashing volunteers of your very own Local’s Executive Board! Not only that, but you will take an active role in voting for resolutions, constitutional amendments, getting a good look at our yearly budget, and elect officials for any positions that may be unfilled. 

General meetings are a democratic process that are vital to building a union that works for all workers. We would like each and every one of you to consider what you want this union to look like in the long term, and what gains you wish to see for this industry in general.

Point us to where you want this industry to be, and we’re gonna fight tooth and nail to get us there.
